Power to Change in Western Australia is celebrating a fantastic year so far in 2017. With Mid Year Conference just passed, the campus movement was blessed to be able to send 28 young adults, spanning four WA universities, to Wollongong, NSW. Here they joined students from right around Australia to praise God and be equipped for a Great Commission lifestyle.
With the risk of a broken down bus on the Nullarbor too great, and students likely to convulse without internet connectivity for excessive periods in the nethermost regions of Australia, the crew decided to purchase FREE return aeroplane tickets for brand new students who signed up to MYC.
This involved a fundraising campaign of $10,000, in addition to some matching funding, to enable the dream to take place. Thankfully, bit by bit, whether by Bitcoin or by Mexican Peso (actually neither of those were pledged, it is more a figure of speech), the team reached their target just the week before the conference (and then some)!
Here is an interview with one of those new students, Dylan, who hails from our movement expansion campus at Edith Cowan University in Mt Lawley.
Q1: HOW’D YOU FIND OUT ABOUT POWER TO CHANGE?

Q2: WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO IN WOLLONGONG?
I am most looking forward to the collective worship. Experiencing God’s presence is always beautiful, but to be able to share something so precious with other believers is both exciting and powerful.
Q3: WHAT IS YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL AND/OR WHAT TYPE OF CHEESE WILL BE IN HEAVEN?
Firstly, almond and apricot cheese is something that should always be included on a cheese platter and I know God wouldn’t make the mistake of forgetting it once we get to Heaven. Also my spirit animal is a wolf
