When some of their leaders, including pastors, assistants, other key ministry staff and elders did the MyFriends training, they quickly realised that it was about how they live, looking for opportunities to share their faith.
Church playgroups connect families, build community, and share God’s love. Jules knows this is true.
So when he and his church’s playgroup team were thinking about how they could revitalise their playgroup, use it as an outreach, and grow with the next generation, they found the MyFriends approach very appealing.
Probably the biggest thing
that happened in 2022 for the
Church Movements team was the Expansion Project. The team was incredibly keen about reframing and repackaging the training to be done online. That meant ramping up to reach a lot more people around Australia.
One of the many stories from the Youth team in 2022 involves pancakes! Stu eagerly recounted how one of the chaplains was cooking pancakes one morning, and two kids came up to him and asked, “Can we read the Bible with you?”
You don’t get a question like that every day!
Incredible things have been happening in the digital team. One of them includes God using someone who is not even
a believer yet!

One of the most encouraging stories to come out of 2022 was Rachel’s. She has struggled with the tension of wanting to be accepted by people around her and also knowing that God accepts her fully.
Door of Hope Christian Church has a rich and long history in Launceston. An encounter with Power To Change introduced Shift m2M thinking into our Generation ministry and
was the critical piece we had been looking for to achieve our goals.
It’s an exciting week to be on campus! O-Week is full of energy and excitement. Everyone is here to meet people, find their community and get connected.
